Claude for small business: 43 workflows and a tour
Anthropic expanded Claude for Small Business to 43 workflows and 27 new integrations, and added a fall training tour.
Anthropic pushed a major update to Claude for Small Business on September 15, and the headline number is 43. That is how many workflows the plugin now ships with, up from a much smaller set at the May launch. Two of the new ones matter more to an AV or smart home shop than anything else on the list: Speed to Lead and Proposal Builder.
The two that matter most to you
Speed to Lead is built for the exact moment most integrators lose a deal without knowing it: the hour or two after an inquiry comes in when nobody responds because everyone is on a job site. Proposal Builder picks up right where our other post on this plugin left off, turning a walkthrough into a priced document faster than a human sitting down cold.
If you run a shop where missed calls and slow quotes are the leak, these two workflows are worth setting up before anything else on the list.
The scale of this update
Alongside the 43 workflows, Anthropic added 27 new integrations, bringing the total number of connectors available across the plugin to 37. The new names on the list include Shopify, Salesforce, TikTok, Atlassian, Zoom, Xero, Gusto, Square, Stripe, Zapier, Notion, RingCentral, Apollo, Clay, Wix and Zoho, stacked on top of the tools already supported at launch, QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, and Google and Microsoft's office suites. If a tool runs part of your business, there is a real chance it is now on that list.
Adoption backs up the push. Anthropic counts more than 900,000 installs of the plugin since it launched in May.
Training is the other half of this release
A workflow you never learn to run is a workflow that sits unused, and Anthropic clearly knows it. The company is sending a fall tour to 10 US cities: Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Memphis, Savannah, Bentonville, Tampa and Raleigh. Alongside the tour, more than 150 approved Claude SMB trainers are running upwards of 750 community workshops, and Anthropic has 14 partner webinars scheduled between late September and November.
Anthropic also folded the plugin into Goldman Sachs' 10,000 Small Businesses learning series, which puts Claude training in front of a program that already has a track record with owners who are not software people by trade.
What owners are getting out of the expanded version
The new case studies read the same way the last batch did: specific, sourced, and about time nobody had to spare. Mothership Coffee Roasters reports a 22 percent improvement in in-store margins after putting the plugin to work managing operations. Bambi Baby drove $60,000 in sales in four days using the marketing workflows. HireEffect used it to isolate a $13,000 accounting discrepancy that had been sitting unnoticed in their books.
Claude for Small Business is available on all paid plans, with Team recommended once more than one person in the shop needs to touch it.
What to do this week
- Set up Speed to Lead first if inbound calls or web inquiries ever sit for more than an hour before someone replies. That is the leak this workflow was built to close.
- Check whether your city is on the fall tour list, or find one of the 750-plus community workshops near you and send whoever owns sales or ops to one.
- Scan the new connector list for a tool you already pay for, Square, Zoom and Notion are new additions worth a second look if you use them daily.
- If you tried the plugin in May and shelved it, this is a real reason to open it back up. The workflow count nearly tripled.
